I had so much fun making this new style of slouchie tam. The intricate cabling reminds me of those old fashioned, ornate skeleton keys (hence the name!). The pattern is written for both beret and slouchie sizes and includes both written and charted versions of the pattern. Blocking is very important with this hat so there tips included for blocking both beret and slouchie styles.

Yarn: 260 yards ( 238 meters) of your favorite worsted weight yarn (9 wip)
Needles: 16" circular and double pointed needles in size 5mm ( US size 8 )
