I have been a super busy bee over the past little while. I’ve been pouring my heart and soul into stocking my farmer’s market table and I also took the plunge into Farm Day in the City this year. It was huge. It was scary. It was too awesome for words. I’m so grateful to be able to share my love of wool with so many fantastic folks and I’m already dreaming and planning on how to make it even better for 2018. With this comes two quick updates about how I’m proceeding.
Last year, I decided that I wouldn’t take any custom orders for 2017. This has given me the time and space to really pursue my passions and to expand mys skill sets. I have decided that I will not be accepting any custom orders for 2018 either. There are just so many things that I want to learn and grow, that I don’t have room for custom work for the foreseeable future.
I have done some really amazing and fun things will sustainable harvested, wildcrafted, natural dyes on locally sourced wool and alpaca this year and I want to put an even greater emphasis on this in my future work. I want to be able to tell a story with the fibres that I choose and the dyestuffs that color them, so keep a lookout in future months for more in this line.
With these things in mind, I’m working toward my most creative Autumn season to date and I look forward to sharing more of my fibre jourey with you all over the upcoming months.
