FO Thursday – Rainbows and Rosy Cheeks Handwoven Scarf

Rainbows and Rosy Cheeks

I was planning to wait until tomorrow to share this project but just couldn’t wait 🙂

This sweet little scarf was hand woven on my antique table loom.  I used a lovely pastel rainbow colored soy silk/merino blend from Belfast Mini Mlls for the warp and paired it up with Fleece & Harmony’s locally grown wool/alpaca fingering in “Rosy Cheeks” colorway.  I love how the drape this scarf has and how it feels next to the skin … soft, silky, and cozy. It makes me want to start another scarf project immediately so I’ve been taking a peek through my stash to see what inspires me.

In other news, our nectarine tree is in full bloom now and is quite the sight to behold.  The bees are happily buzzing around all the beautiful blossoms in our yard and we’ve had our first sightings of Ruby Throated Hummingbirds.

Hope you’re having a lovely week so far and that you are enjoying all the beauty of Spring (or Autumn for our friends in the southern hemisphere)

Happy Thursday all!
