WIP Wednesday – Deep Blue Sea and Rosy Cheeks

I have a quick little update to share with you two new projects that I’m working on.

First up is “Deep Blue Sea.”  This is 4oz of seriously gorgeous spinning fibre that I picked up yesterday at Belfast Mini Mills. It is a blend of merino, alpaca, cashmere, and mohair and the blue shades in this are incredible. As you can see, I’m flying right through my it.  I have the first 2oz spun already and look forward to doing a little more spinning today (probably in my sunny spot in the garden!)

Second up is a weaving project. The weft for this is Fleece & Harmony’s fingering weight yarn in “Rosy Cheeks”‘ colorway paired up with a lovely multicolored soy silk/merino for the warp.  This is actually a shot from Monday and I have approximately 20” woven now. I am excited to finish this because I  think it will be very pretty when it is done.

Hope you’re all having a fantastic week this far and that you’re finding some time for craft.
Happy Wednesday all!
