First up is “Allium” on Rambouillet by Southern Cross Fibre. This was the September club offering and it is so packed full of beautiful spring-like color (September IS springtime in Australia, after all). I chose to spin this up as single and chain ply to preserve the color shifts. The resulting yarn is a squoshy, bouncy, DK weight yarn that would be perfect for some colorwork.
My next spin that I get to share with you today is “Taco.” This skein was really fun to make! I used the Spunky Eclectic club offering of Polwarth in “Taco” colorway as the base handspun single and wrapped the yarn in cheerful blend of super kid mohair and silk. The finished yarn is light, lofty, and super, super soft. It would be amazing knit as a cowl for snuggling your face into when the weather is cold.
Hope you’re all having a wonderful week and that you enjoy a peaceful Holiday season, if you celebrate. 🙂
