We spent some time hiking a local trail and mushroom hunting this afternoon.  This time of year is a mushroom lover’s delight!  After reading Mushrooming Without Fear by Alexander Schwab I was eager to get out and see what our neck of the woods had to offer. While we currently only pick Chanterelles to eat, we do enjoy taking time to learn about and identify other edible mushrooms and today proved that there is quite a lot of interesting types to observe and, of course, photograph.

Hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday afternoon!
