FO Friday – The North Hat and The Sugar Plum Fairy

img_3067 img_3081 img_3088 img_3123 30090080771_0289d79cc4_oI actually have 4 finished projects to share this week but I’ll spare you the massive photo bomb and just post about the two knitted projects today and save the handspun for another 😉

As your may recall from Wednesday’s post, I was working on The North Hat in handspun Bond and classic wool.  Well, I finished the knitting (as predicted) later that day and went on to wash and block the hat.  Today I just added the pompom as the final touch. I think I really love that moose and evergreen motif and plan to make another version of this hat later.

The second hat today is made from an adaptation of a chart by GrammaIrene.  It features a band of cute little fairies and flowers which I think the yarn pairing shows off really well.  I used Belfast Mini Mills Merino sock yarn and Knit Picks Chroma Fingering for this pair and love how it turned out.  Of course, this hat wouldn’t be complete with out a multicolored pompom to top it off.

How was your week?  Did you make anything new?  Do tell!

Happy Friday all!
