I’ve been a little lax this week about blogging but hey, summer is only so long and I’ve got a cozy lawn chair and sooooo many books in my reading queue. Our school year starts soon so I’m making the most of my unrestricted reading time and binging on everything and anything bookwise that comes through my door.
While I *may* have slacked on the blogging, I certainly haven’t on the fibre. My wheel has been whirring away. I’ve been working on two fun projects. One, a gorgeous locally grown Shetland fleece which I’m tearing right through (more on this at a later date) and two, a handspun Quill.
The fiber I’ve chosen for the center portion is “Mean Streak” by Hello Yarn in Polwarth/Mohair/Silk (PoMoSilk for short) and I’m still undecided as to whether I want to use my handspun merino or my handspun BFL for the edging. Sometimes these decisions can be quite tough as I think BOTH would work wonderfully. Since both balls are spun up, I figure I’ll knit the center portion while I’m trying to decide 😉
That’s all for today as I’m off to do a little knitting. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and that you find some time for crafting!
Happy Friday all!
