WIP Wednesday – Big Thaw

Only six more weeks until our farmer’s market opens for the year! I can’t wait to get back to our Saturday routine and catch up with everyone.  In preparation for the opening of the market, I’ve been hard at work at  my wheel, spinning up some new yarns for my table.

This week’s spin is a delightful Manx Loaghton in “Big Thaw” colorway by Spunky Eclectic.  I adore the rich natural brown with pops of blue and green.  It truly makes me think of springtime and thawing snows.  I’m choosing to spin this as a single, across the top, so that there are nice long color changes and feel like this would be a perfect yarn for a colorwork cowl with prancing stags.  This yarn *might* not make it to my table as a yarn but as a knitted good instead 😉

So what are you up to this week? Did you start any new projects this week?  Do tell!

Happy Wednesday all!
