For this little beauty, I busted out my stitch dictionaries and modded a traditional Nordic motif of moose to create this hat. I wanted the crown to look like snow falling from a twilight sky and topped it all off with a pompom, which I might be mildly obsessed with . It is knit from a combo of handspun Falkland wool and more of the lovely Corriedale from Harmony Meadow Farm. I have to say that I’m completely in love with their wool and need to pick up more at the farmer’s market tomorrow. It lends itself so well to colorwork and has quickly become a staple in my yarn stash.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend and happy Halloween to those of you who partake in the festivities!
