August Break 2015 – Air

airMy friend Alexandra from LIfe on a Canadian Island has a knack for finding really exciting and interesting projects, prompts, and challenges so when she shared the hashtag #augustbreak2015, I just had to check it out.

The tag led to Susannah Conoway’s blog and a month’s worth of prompts for mindful pleasures with the suggestion of daily photos. Intrigued, I’m jumping in as well because I find it hard to resist the opportunity to get out with my camera and explore.

Today’s prompt is “Air” and the shot above is one I took this morning on my run to the shore and back.  Living in a small village surrounding a harbour, fresh salt air is one of the most striking natural qualities of our community that changes subtly from season to season and with the weather.  Today the shore smells of salt, warm sunshine, ferns, and wild roses … an iconic summertime scent here in Prince Edward Island.

If you are participating in this challenge as well, let me know.  I’d love to see your spin on the prompts!
