I beginning to feel like every time I write a blog post, I’m telling you that it is raining … and quite honestly, it has been all week. I miss our beach time but I’m really quite grateful that we’re not dealing with the crazy wildfires other provinces have been. Plus, rain mean more knitting and spinning time 😉
Today I have a few things to share with you. I’ve finished up spinning both “Anemone” on BFL and “Peacock” on 50/50 merino/mulberry silk and I’m about to skein them up and set the twist. Both were absolutely delightful spins and I’m looking forward to squooshing the finished yarns.
My next project is a robust pair of socks in some locally grown Corriedale. I have the pleasure sitting next to the lovely folks at Harmony Meadow Farms each week at the farmer’s market and I couldn’t resist picking up some of their wonderful yarn to play with. Since the weather here has been so cool and wet, I’ve been daydreaming of nice wool socks, so I decided that I really needed to make a pair. The pattern is one of my own … my go-to for worsted weight socks … and it is knitting up fairly quick.
How has your week been going? Are you finding lots of time for craft? Do tell!
