Summer Solstice at Confederation landing was so much fun! As you may have read, I had the pleasure of doing a spinning and handcarding demo on Saturday. I was also extremely happy to be able to chat with several other hand spinners. I think one of the things that I love most about meeting up with other spinners is just how excited we all get about good wool. As luck would have it, Christine from Campbell’s Fiber Farm was one of the lovely spinners I got to meet with … AND she had some seriously gorgeous batts available at her booth, one of which I had the enjoyment of spinning during my demo. 😀
Now, my new handspun is dry (it is the fun purple and green skein pictured above) and I’ve been having fun dreaming up what it wants to be. I have chose the colors above to go with the handspun in a bright and cheery colorwork cowl. You’ll have to stay tuned to my blog to see what kind of design I’m going to be doing on the cowl though.
Happy (and crafty) Thursday all!
