FO Friday – Handspun

For today’s finished-object Friday post, I have some photos of handspun goodies to share with you.

This is the March Spunky Eclectic fiber club offering … a 4oz bump of dreamy Falkland in the “Nebula” colorway.  I chose to spin it up as a fractal 2 ply and think it would look amazing knit up as a textured hat or funky cowl.

IMG_1892The second skein I’m sharing today is the November club offering from Southern Cross Fibre.  It is 110g of silky soft BFL in “After The Rains” colorway.  Since I believe you can never have enough fingering weight singles, that is exactly how I chose to spin this bump of fiber.  I have a skein of white merino/cashmere that will pair perfectly with this to make a lux pair of colorwork mittens.

In other news, I will be doing a handcarding and spinning demonstration at the Summer Solstice Weekend in Charlottetown on June 20th.  If you’re in Town, stop by and say hello!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
