Things are starting to settle into our Fall groove around here. There are bright orange pumpkins outside our door, wood is being split and stacked, and there is a crispness to the mornings that wasn’t there just a couple of weeks ago. With the changing of the weather, my mind drifts more and more to cozy wool sweaters and good sturdy wool socks … both of which, I don’t think you can ever have enough of!
I’ve been admiring Stasis by Leila Raabe since it was released in Brooklyn Tweed’s Spring Thaw collection. I ordered some Palette in a lovely autumnal hazelnut for the main color of the sweater but just couldn’t seem to find a contract color that struck my fancy. Thanks to an afternoon of tea and yarn swapping with a friend (knitting friends are awesome but yarn-swapping-knitting friends are the BEST!), we found just the right color for my sweater and I set to work on it early this morning. I know I only have few inches knit but I am already daydreaming of snuggling into my cozy sweater to read a good book by the fire.
Does your knitting and crafting switch with the seasons too? What are you working on? Do tell!
