100 Happy Days

I know I’ve been kind of MIA lately but rest assured, I haven’t been idle.  Lots of things are happening around here both crafty and otherwise.  Here are some of the happenings around here:

  • I am working on three new patterns (two of which will be free.  Yay!)
  • Thanks to finally biting the bullet and getting new glasses, I can comfortably read for longer periods of time again so I have been glutting myself on books.  Just about every spare minute I have lately has been with my nose stuck in a good book.
  • I’ve been smashing out Bloom To Fit’s 21 Day Burpee Challenge and working on both the March Backbend Challenge (even though it is April) and the Yoga To The Core Challenge.Hey!  A girl can’t knit and read ALL the time 🙂
  • And in keeping with one of my New Year’s goals, I am spending more time taking pictures which leads me to the true subject of this post.

Several of the moms in our homeschoolers co-op have been taking part in 100 Happy Days. Their photos and blubs are so wonderfully inspiring that I decided to jump in and give it a go as well. I’m a little late on the scene but better late than never right? And what better way to spread a little sunshine?  Here are my first few days:

Day 1 – Bugsy, my partner in crime and crafting, was very obliging and allowed me to take numerous shots of him relaxing on the back of our easy chair. This little fur-ball is great company.

Day 2 – Having some wild winter storms and the power was out.  Since I’m an early riser, I got to enjoy my book and a nice cup of coffee in my smug-mug by the light of a kerosene lamp.  Very cozy feeling.

Day 3 – Getting my burpees done with this little munchkin. She calls herself “Princess Burpee.”

Day 4 – Smashing out my skipping and burpees before we started school this morning. And yes, I use a Dora the Explorer skipping rope because I’m all grown up 😉

Day 5 (today) – Discovering these happy little pink blooms on one of my houseplants this morning. A little taste of spring even though there is snow outside.

So that is a tiny little slice of my life.  I look forward to continuing along with the 100 Happy Days and celebrating the little things in everyday life.

What have you been up to?  Have you started anything new or are you still trucking away on your New Years goals? I’d love to hear 🙂
