It is no secret how much I love colorwork knitting, and when the opportunity arose to do some test knitting for Anne Podlesak’s newest book “Legendary Knits, Volume Two”, I jumped at the chance.
The pattern is called East of the Sun, West of the Moon Cowl. It comes in two different sizes (mine is size small) and is worked up in fingering weight yarn. I chose to use Knit Picks Palette in various shades of green, yellow, cream, and grey and 3.25 needles.
The pattern is beautifully written, the charts are a dream to knit, and the finished cowl is colorful and bright … the perfect thing to wear for those of us who are (not so) patiently waiting for the arrival of spring. It keeps my neck wonderfully cozy when I’m out for my quite crispy morning walks.
What fun crafty things have you been up to? Are you making anything bright and colorful as you dream of spring? Do tell!
