I was planning to post this tomorrow but I’ve had quite a bit of interest in the pattern so I thought that I would share it a little bit early
This hat pattern is actually an adaptation of a mitten chart that I found one afternoon on a folded up piece of computer paper, tucked inside one of my second hand knitting books. There are three mitten charts on the paper and, try as I might, I have not been able to find any further information on these charts, such as who has written them and when. If you know who has designed the charts, please email me so that I can give credit where credit is due.
It is a quick little project to work up as you use DK weight yarn and since you use 3.5mm needles in combination with stranded colorowork, it makes a nice cozy fabric. I love the cheerful flowers sprinkled throughout the pattern. It makes me daydream even more about the arrival of spring.

Stay tuned over the next week or two as I hope to have the other two mitten charts adapted into hat patterns and available as free downloads as well.
Happy knitting everyone!
