I had meant to post this yesterday but we were having so much fun hiking Dromore and picking out new books at the library that time just kind of got away from me. So WIP Thursday it is this week!
Lately, I’ve been looking for some stash busting projects that are quick and fun but eat up some of the bits and bobs of yarn that I have floating around in my stash. Scatness Tam by Kate Davies was just the project that I was looking for!
Like many knitters, I have a large amount of teeny balls of fingering weight yarns left over from previous projects so it was a relative snap to pick out the colors that I needed to start this gorgeous fair isle tam. The yarn is all Belfast Mini Mills Specialty Sock and, with the exception of the main color, I think the colors are actually pretty close to the hat pictured in the book “Colors Of Shetland”.
I’ve actually finished knitting the hat this morning and still have to sew in the copious amount of ends (I love you fair isle but I do not like your ends!) so if all goes well, I’ll hopefully have the finished hat to share with you in tomorrows FO Friday post.
Happy crafting all!
