We took to the trails again today with a group of homeschoolers at Mooney’s Pond.
Measuring 1.9km in length, this is a perfect trail if you’re looking for a quick little jaunt or if you have wee ones who aren’t up to walking some of the longer trails. The scenery is absolutely stunning … especially at this time of year with all the brightly colored leaves and mushrooms popping up all over.
Judah, Willow, and I had such a merry time that we decided to stop at MacPhail Woods to continue the fun. We had the pleasure of making acquaintance with a Woodland Jumping Mouse there. This was my first time ever encountering this little creature and they are quite hilarious to watch. They bound through the trees little tiny kangaroos and are very difficult to get a good picture of but I did manage to snag one You can click through the pictures above to see the full size versions.
